John Duncan, Chairman of the National Lifeboat Institution joined the Shefford Group members of the Civil Service Retirement Fellowship on January 17. John welcomed all to the presentation and introduced John Hale who spoke passionately on the RNLI's beginnings and development from 1841 to today's slick lifesaving team. The Lifeboat and Lifeguard Services last year attended 8010 incidents, saved 53 lives making a total of 137,000 lives saved since 1824, Despite their successes they still need our support!
