A pair of teenagers have been arrested after a boy was shot with a what is believed to be a pellet gun in Clifton yesterday evening.

The alleged shooting happened in Stanford Lane just after 8.20pm, and the teenager was airlifted to hospital in a stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.

Two 16-year-old boys have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in custody.

The attack is being treated as an isolated incident at this time, however extra patrols have been put on in the area.
