A TEENAGER has been stabbed in Hitchin.
Just after 10pm on Friday, an 18-year-old man from Hitchin was walking past a group of males sat on a bench on Windmill Hill when an altercation began.
One of the group pulled out a knife and stabbed the 18-year-old in the lower back.
The victim was hospitalised with a small stab wound, but did not sustain life-threatening injuries.
A 16-year-old boy from Baldock has been arrested, charged with grevious bodily harm and remanded in custody.
