A boy from Baldock has been charged in connection with an assault which took place in Baldock on Friday evening.
The 16 year old boy has been charged with Grievous Bodily Harm with intent and Actual Bodily Harm.
The assault took place in the Tesco car park in Baldock at 10.25pm. A 20-year-old man was taken to hospital with a serious head injury.
He remains in London's Royal Free Hospital where his condition is described as serious but stable.
A second man was also injured during the altercation but his injuries were not serious.
The 16 year old attended Hatfield Magistrates' Court on Monday and was remanded in custody.
