A TEENAGER was seriously injured when a car ended up on its roof.
The incident happened in Avenue One, Letchworth GC, on Saturday night when the driver lost control of the Honda Civic, collided with the kerb and flipped over, say police.
The car crashed through a fence and came to rest on its roof in undergrowth.
Firefighters had to cut two passengers free from the rear of the vehicle and they were taken to Lister Hospital for treatment.
Later the condition of one of them, a 16-year-old boy, deteriorated and he was transferred to the Royal Free Hospital in London suffering from serious head injuries.
Anyone who saw the Honda Civic in the area at the time of the accident, which happened at 9.40pm, should contact the eastern area road traffic unit on 01438 757655 and ask for the investigating officer Pc Jacqueline Reynolds.
