A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of theft after a locked bike was stolen from a Stevenage school.

The grey mountain bike was taken last week from St Nicholas Church of England Primary School in Six Hills Way after a thief entered the school premises.

A police appeal was reported by the Comet yesterday and a 17-year-old boy from Stevenage has now been arrested.

He has been released on bail to return to Stevenage Police Station on October 29.

Anyone with information can call police on non-emergency number 101.
