Officers have arrested a 19-year-old man after a motorist failed to stop for police in Kimpton and accelerated on towards Codicote.

The incident occurred at about 5.15pm on Monday. Police had attempted to stop the grey car in Kimpton’s High Street.

A 19-year-old man from Codicote has been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop, and has been bailed by police until July 6.

Investigating officers are appealing for anyone who saw the car driving between Kimpton and Codicote to get in touch.
