A 19-year-old man has been arrested today following a fatal crash near Hitchin over the weekend.
Emergency services were called to Preston Road in Gosmore at around 3am yesterday morning, after a blue Peugeot 106 – travelling in the direction of Preston – overturned.
One person died at the scene while another was taken to Lister Hospital for further treatment for facial injuries.
The teenager has been released on bail until next month.
Officers are asking anyone who may have further information, or who may have seen the blue Peugeot in the early hours of Sunday morning to call Sgt Richard Barker or PC Shona Gillen on non-emergency number 101.
