A teenage woman was taken to hospital after making threats to harm herself at a Stevenage town centre multi-storey car park on Saturday night.

Police were called at 7pm to Westgate multi-storey car park amid concerns for the welfare of an 18-year-old woman, who was making threats to harm herself.

Officers attended and took her to a place of safety.

The ambulance service was alerted at 7.18pm, with one crew called to the scene. The woman was taken to hospital for further care.
