Three teenage boys have been arrested after reports of an armed robbery at a Stotfold fish and chips shop last night.
Armed officers were sent to Charles & Co fish and chips shop in Regent Street at about 8.30pm following a call to Beds police about a potential armed robbery.
Today three boys – a 14-year-old from Shefford, and a 14-year-old and 17-year-old both from Stotfold – have been arrested on suspicion of a lesser offence of criminal damage.
A police spokeswoman said the trio remain in police custody.
