A LUCKY teacher won an all-expenses-paid trip to San Diego as well as goodies worth £1,000 when she entered a competition in a teaching newspaper.
To win her prize, Liz Briggs, a teacher at Hillshott School, Letchworth GC, had to explain how she uses the Clicker programme - a writing support and multimedia tool - in the classroom.
Her entry in the Times Educational Supplement competition was chosen from a shortlist of 100.
Liz, who jetted off to California at the start of the school's summer break, said: "On the first three days of my holiday I attended the conference organised by the National Educational Computing Conference (NECC) which taught me a lot about other ways of how I can use the programme and it also gave me a chance to meet and interact with many people from my field."
The creators of the Clicker programme also gave Liz £1,000 worth of their software products to use in her school.
