Officers last night arrested a suspected drug-driver who was allegedly clocked going down a 40mph road at 67mph.
Road policing officers said on Twitter that they found a “passenger in possession of cannabis and driver under the influence of cannabis” after reports of vehicle-related antisocial behaviour from the public.
They said they had arrested the driver – a 22-year-old man from Stevenage – and dealt with the passenger on the roadside, adding: “Stevenage isn’t a racetrack.”
Herts police has confirmed the arrested man has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
