A SUSPECTED arson attack has destroyed a bungalow in Hitchin.
Five fire crews from Hitchin, Stevenage and Baldock were called just before 5.30am on Sunday to the fire at a detached, chalet bungalow on Pirton Road, Hitchin and found the first, second floor and roof well alight.
Fire fighters, who used an aerial platform to tackle the flames declared the fire out by 8am.
No-one was hurt in the incident. Police are investigating.
