WOMEN are being urged to pull together and put on their running shoes to support cancer sufferers.
Cancer Research UK's Race for Life is on Sunday, July 13, at Fairlands Valley Park and this year even more women have the chance to walk, jog or run 5k in the UK's largest women-only fundraising event because an additional event has been added to the schedule at 2.30pm.
Kate Francklow, Cancer Research UK's Stevenage event manager, said: "The afternoon event gives women who are otherwise busy - or simply want a lie-in - the chance to still come along and take part in this inspirational event.
"And even though places are running out for the morning event, which takes place at 11am, there are still places left for the afternoon."
l To enter the Stevenage events at 11am and 2.30pm visit: www.raceforlife.org/centraleast or call 0871 641 2271.
