Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at the Simpson Centre. On August 2, there will be a visit to the British Schools at Hitchin. The recent visit by a poet from Bedford was greatly enjoyed, free transport may be available if you have difficulty getting to there, ring 0142 730695 to arrange.
Following the setting up: Of the first Homewatch Scheme at Fairfield Park, it is hoped to create further schemes to cover the majority of streets on the development. Homewatch Schemes help to ensure that the community is not only a safe environment but one which has the eviable reputation of a place where people want to live. Schemes also bring neighbours together and create a sense of belonging. The presence of Homewatch street signs, window stickers and watchful residents offer a clear deterrent to criminals, also to others who may consider causing a nuisance in the area. Fairfield Park Homewatch works with close support from the police and in conjunction with the Fairfield Park Resident's Association. If you would like to set up a Homewatch Scheme in your area of Fairfield Park, ring 01462 73317.
Two Brewers: Live music is provided by the soul singer Devah on Saturday, July 15, all welcome
