A WOMAN has been spared jail after pleading guilty to stealing from her employer.
Brenda Maddocks, of Shaftesbury Drive, Stotfold, stole £4,553.68 from Ian Cousins between September 7, 2012 and January 21, 2013.
The 58-year-old pleaded guilty at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court on Monday and was given a 12 week sentence, suspended for 12 months.
Maddocks was also given 250 hours of community service and forced to pay £3,609.47 in compensation costs, as well as £85.00 costs and an £80.00 victim surcharge.
