Stotfold and Arlesey’s Royal British Legion branch won two awards at the Beds annual conference in Henlow on Sunday.
The branch won the excellence cup and the small branch efficiency trophy for 2016 – and branch chairman Andrew Fievez and membership secretary David Langridge received the prizes from county president Col SAR Abrahams and director of operations Antony Baines.
Mr Fievez also received the county chairman’s certificate of appreciation for his work as branch chairman.
Mr Langridge told the Comet: “It was a very successful day for the branch. We have 66 members at the moment but we could always do with more – especially younger members.”
