TORRENTIAL rain turned a playing field into a mini lake on Saturday morning.

The short storm once again left the field between Lincoln Crescent and the railway embankment in Biggleswade under almost a foot of water.

Nearby resident and local councillor Margaret Bracey has witnessed the flooding many times before but this was the worst she had seen.

"The rain was coming down in sheets and the worst storm I have experienced," said Cllr Bracey.

"The field has a tendency to flood in wet weather but this was very bad and was still there the following day but was all gone by Monday morning.
