Stolen Hitchin puppy Bella found safe in Stevenage as suspect is arrested

A pug puppy that was stolen from a 12-year-old girl and her family has been recovered, and the police have arrested a suspect.

Bella, a seven-month-old fawn-coloured pug, was found by a member of the public in Symonds Green in Stevenage on Friday, eight days after the theft from a home in Mattocke Road in Hitchin.

A 27-year-old man from Little Wymondley was arrested on suspicion of theft in Hitchin on Sunday. He has been released on bail until November 27.
