STEVENAGE Police are trying to trace the owner of a stolen bicycle, after it was recovered by them this week.
The nearly-new black and red Carrera mountain bicycle (pictured right), is thought by police to be stolen.
A 21-year-old Stevenage man has been arrested and bailed until April on suspicion of handling stolen goods.
Detective sergeant Gez Ellis from Stevenage Local Crime Unit said: “This looks like an almost brand new bike and is in extremely good condition.
“We would very much like to return it to its rightful owner, so if you recognise it or think you know who it belongs to, get in contact.”
Property recovered by police is often not returned to its rightful owner due to them being difficult to track down.
If you recognise the bike, call the non-emergency number on 0845 33 00 222 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
