Stevenage woman pleads guilty to £8,000 school fund theft

A woman has pleaded guilty to stealing £8,000 from a school’s parent teacher association over a four-year period.

Ruth Sanderson, of Lingfield Road in Stevenage, pleaded guilty to stealing £8,000 in cash from the Martins Wood Primary School Parent Teacher Association in Stevenage between November 2009 and November 2013 when she appeared at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

The 43-year-old has been committed to Cambridge Crown Court for sentencing on a date to be fixed.
