A 38-year-old woman from Stevenage has been arrested on suspicion of assault after a teenage boy was stabbed in the Great Ashby area of the town this week.
The woman, who was arrested last night in connection with a stabbing which occurred in Mendip Way at 11.45pm on Tuesday, has been released on police bail until January 8.
A 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the leg, but his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
The investigation continues and anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting crime reference E1/15/8029.
