Stevenage U18s’ FA Youth Cup run is over after they were knocked out 10-1 by Tottenham Hotspur in the third round at the Lamex Stadium.

Boro had enjoyed wins in the competition against League One Charlton Athletic and Ware, but the Premier League side were too hot to handle on Wednesday night.

Spurs went ahead through striker Kazaiah Sterling in under two minutes and the forward hit two more before the break as his side led 3-0.

After half-time Spurs continued their dominance as Japhet Tanganga (two), TJ Eyoma and Jaden Brown all found the target to make it 7-0.

There was some cheer for the hosts as Ben Wilmot’s acrobatic effort saw Stevenage get on the scoresheet.

However, Spurs added three more goals through Samuel Shashoua (two) and Jack Roles to reach double figures and round off a resounding victory.
