Move comes in light of today’s Capital One Cup draw which pits the two clubs against each other in August
Stevenage’s pre-season friendly against Watford has been cancelled.
The teams were set to meet on Saturday, July 19 ahead of the new season, but the match has now been pulled after the two clubs were drawn against each other in the Capital One Cup.
Boro will host their Hertfordshire neighbours in the first round of the competition in the week beginning August 11.
The two sides met each other in a friendly last summer, with the Hornets winning 2-0.
