A MAN has been detained under the Mental Health Act after trepassing on train tracks this morning (Monday).
Officers from Hertfordshire Constabulary and the British Transport Police (BTP) were called at around 7.15am following reports that a man was on the tracks near Stevenage Railway Station.
A spokesman for the BTP said: “Trains ran under caution while officers from BTP and Hertfordshire Constabulary carried out a search of the area and found a man nearby.
“The man was taken to a local hospital under Section 136 of the Mental Health Act.”
