Stevenage to announce Gary Smith as new boss

New manager was at the Lamex this evening (Tuesday) watching his new club beat MK Dons 4-2

Stevenage FC will tomorrow (Wednesday) confirm the appointment of Gary Smith as the club’s new manager.

Boro have been looking for a replacement for Graham Westley who left for Preston North End just under a fortnight ago, and chairman Phil Wallace spoke to Smith early last week, as The Comet revealed, and is expected to announce him as Westley’s successor at a press conference tomorrow (Wednesday).

Smith, who until November was the manager of the Colorado Rapids, was in the stands at the Lamex Stadium tonight to see his new club beat MK Dons 4-2.
