Stevenage teenager arrested after Hitchin house party stabbing

A teenager is in hospital after he was stabbed at a house party in Hitchin.

Police were called at 12.45am on Saturday, September 13, by the ambulance service to Freemans Close to the report that an 18-year-old man had been stabbed.

Officers were in attendance and following inquiries at the scene it was established that the incident had occurred at an address in a nearby street – North Place – where the party had been taking place.

The teenager was taken to hospital where he is in a stable condition.

No-one else has been injured.

An 18-year-old man from Stevenage has been arrested on suspicion of assault and released on bail until October 25.

The investigation is on-going and anyone with any information about what happened should contact Herts police on 101.
