STEVENAGE lifeguard Aleks Josh will be bidding for a place in the next round of hit BBC show The Voice tonight (Saturday).

The 17-year-old, a former Nobel and St Nicholas School pupil, will appear for the first time in the live shows.

He’ll be hoping to impress the public as, for the first time, his place in the next round will depend on their votes.

Aleks’ is mentored by Script frontman Danny O’Donoghue, and will appear alongside his other four acts, as well as the five acts Jessie J has in the competition.

He tweeted to fans yesterday (Friday) that he would be singing Louis Armstrong’s Dream a Little Dream of Me.
