Partnership to host Elite Development Programme to give youngsters chance to gain qualifications
Stevenage FC have teamed up with Marriotts School to host their Elite Development Programme - Boro’s premier programme for (EDP) young footballers who want to make a career out of the sport.
The EDP will give teenagers the chance to gain qualifications to work in the sports industry, train and compete in a professional football environment while gaining important qualifications.
As well as gaining an excellent footballing education, the programme will also give the participants a BTEC Level 3 extended diploma in sport – a qualification that will help you get into university. FA coaching qualifications will also be earned.
Trials have been scheduled for April 19, May 17 and June 21 at Marriotts school.
The trials are open for 16 -18 year olds who have achieved or have predicted five GCSEs at A-C grade including English and Maths.
