Stevenage kicked-off their 2014/15 pre-season preparations with a 3-0 win at non-league neighbours Arlesey Town this evening (Wednesday).
Manager Graham Westley fielded many of his new signings for the first time after a summer overhaul of his playing staff in preparation for the forthcoming Sky Bet League Two campaign.
The Armadilo Stadium, home to the Southern League Premier Division hosts, saw first half goals from new signings Dean Wells, Tom Pett and Adam Marriott seal the positive result for the visitors.
Boro made a host of second half changes with five trialists taking to the field along with Chris Day, Jon Ashton, Ryan Johnson, Rohdell Gordon, Joseph N’Guessan and Fejiri Okenabirhie.
Stevenage face Premier League side West Ham United at the Lamex Stadium on Saturday in another friendly, kick-off 3pm.
Stevenage starting XI against Arlesey: Beasant, Henry, Worley, Wells, Dembele, Pett, Walton, Bond, Deacon, Charles, Marriott.
