Stevenage slimmers run and cycle for charity

SLIMMING and smiling was the motto for one healthy eating group intent on doing their bit for charity.

Slimming World in Stevenage joined a UK-wide month-long event named ‘MILES FOR SMILES’ to raise money for the NSPCC.

Members of the group, based at St Peter’s Hall, were joined by friends as they cycled and ran their way round Ridlin’s running track in the hot sun for a combined total of two hours.

More than 125 miles was covered during the event, held on Saturday, July 10, and so far over 500 has been raised.
