LEWIS Hamilton was in pole position this morning (Monday) as he ran with the Olympic flame through Luton.

The Stevenage born Formula One driver started off Day 52 of the Olympic Torch Relay at 6.30am as the flame is carried from Luton to Oxford.

The 27-year-old former world champion had been asked to take part in yesterday’s Stevenage leg but was competing in the Brtish Grand Prix at Siliverstone, where he finished eighth.
