Former Chelsea and Oldham Athletic winger leaves club by mutual consent

Filipe Morais has had his Stevenage contract terminated by mutual consent.

The Portuguese winger becomes the first player to leave Boro at the start of a planned rebuild by the club.

The former Chelsea man, whose last match in a Stevenage shirt saw him sent off against Colchester United on April 12, joined Boro on a three-year deal in 2012 but will now begin looking for a new club.

Boro boss Graham Westley is meeting with the rest of the playing squad this week to discuss their futures.
