Dobgima Gwangwaa, of Swale Close, appeared before a district judge on Monday charged with GBH, possession of a kitchen knife in a public place and possession of the class-B drug cannabis.

Due to the seriousness of the charges – which relate to an incident at the taxi rank outside the station last Saturday afternoon – the case was committed to St Albans Crown Court without the 21-year-old entering a plea.

District Judge Margaret Dodd, sitting at Hatfield Remand Court, remanded him in custody ahead of an appearance at St Albans Crown Court on October 8.
