A four-hour Clubbercise Clubbathon has raised more than £11,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust - nearly double the original target of £6,000.

People armed with glow sticks and clad in neon clothes gathered at Marriotts School in Stevenage to take part in a fundraising session of Clubbercise - exercising in the dark to club tracks – which was led by instructors Charlotte Philo and Charlotte Hull.

A total of £11,691.50 was raised for the Teenage Cancer Trust in memory of Oli Mills, a Hatfield teenager who died from cancer in 2005 when he was 18 years old.

Charlotte Philo said: “That amount raised is a seriously good effort – mind-blowing really. All the money will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust, and this year we are supporting a strand of their education and awareness appeal.”
