A major road in Stevenage had to be closed this afternoon after cows decided to wander across it.
Police mooved into action at 12.39pm at Gresley Way after reports of three cows in the road by the footbridge between Magpie Crescent and Woodcock Road.
By the time officers got to the scene, two of the cows had got into a field and were contained. The road was closed until the third cow was also led into the field.
The owner was located and the road closure was lifted by 1.30pm.
