A RESIDENT from Comet country has been picked to present a show on BBC Radio 1 on Christmas Day.
Stevenage resident Glenn Atkins, 38, is one of 24 lucky listeners chosen to present a 15-minute show as part of a Tinsel Takeover from 10am until 4pm.
Glenn, a service improvements manager, said: "I am honoured and over the moon to be presenting on Radio 1, and on Christmas Day!
"My show is based on the fantastic movie Home Alone 2. In my opinion it is probably one of the best Christmas films ever made - dare I say one of the best films ever? All the songs have a link to the film, be it directly or indirectly."
Glenn's pre-recorded show will go out on air at noon.
All the winners have selected a theme for their shows and each will include a track from the playlist, a festive tune and a song of their choice.
