A Stevenage woman travelled to an Elstree care home to make ceramic poppies, as part of the Purple Potters groups.
Jayne Gill runs the mobile pottery initiative across care homes, schools and holiday schemes across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, North London, Surrey, Suffolk, Norfolk and North Cornwall.
She told the Comet: “The ceramic poppies have been handmade and painted over the past few months by residents at Hill House Care Home in Elstree,
“After kiln firing all of the pieces, I decided to use a mirror as a canvas to portray their own proud reflection of Remembrance.
“The mirror is now on display at the care home.”
Jayne set up the business after years of teaching pottery to children and adults.
