Boro say talks are ‘ongoing’ despite Wealdstone claiming deal was done
Stevenage are poised to sign defender Jerome Okimo.
The left-back has been on trial at Boro this summer and Wealdstone confirmed earlier today that he had signed for the club, but Stevenage have since said that talks are still ongoing.
Okimo, a former team-mate of Tom Pett at Wealdstone, missed out on a professional contract with Gillingham four seasons ago when he snapped a cruciate when he was about to sign for the Football League side.
The 26-year-old has also made more than 300 appearances for Chalfont St Peter during his career.
