Hundreds of people gathered in Stevenage on Remembrance Sunday to pay their respects to the fallen.
Yesterday’s commemoration to remember those who lost their lives in conflicts saw a parade in Stevenage Old Town start in Primett Road and head to the town’s war memorial on the Bowling Green.
A service was then held and a silence observed by members of the public, war veterans and dignitaries, which included Stevenage mayor Howard Burrell and Stevenage MP Stephen McPartland.
A second service will be held in Stevenage’s Town Square on Wednesday from 10.50am to mark Armistice Day.
