A Stevenage model crowned the ‘face of East Anglia’ will fly out to Cyprus on Tuesday to represent Ireland at The Miss Globe contest.
Eisha Acton, whose dad is from Galway and mum comes from India, will fly out with Miss England, Wales and Scotland to take on the world in the pageant which will be aired live on Fox TV on December 27.
The 21-year-old who has starred in music videos and is a regular fashion model will spend Christmas away from her family on the north of the island preparing for the bikini, evening wear and national costume heats.
“I’m making my own traditional costume with sequins at the moment. It was a last minute thing. I was booked in to work at Debenhams on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day but the manager thought it would be a good experience.”
