Simon Walton is set to miss another six weeks of the season through injury.
The midfielder, who signed for Boro in the summer from Hartlepool United, sustained a hamstring injury in the match against Shrewsbury Town on September 13.
He underwent a MRI scan which confirmed a tear, and as such is now set for an extended period on the sidelines.
Boro expect to have Sam Beasant back in their squad for Saturday’s match at home to Luton Town. The goalkeeper has missed Stevenage’s last two matches with a foot injury.
