Charlie Lee is unlikely to play again for Stevenage this season.
The midfielder suffered a groin injury in the recent match at Carlisle United and after seeing a consultant it has been confirmed that his abductor tendon will take up to 12 weeks to heal.
Lee, who was the club’s top scorer last season, has made 21 starts for Boro this campaign.
Chris Whelpdale (groin) has also suffered a setback in training after striking a ball awkwardly but it is hoped that the winger will play some part for the club again this season.
