A 30-year-old man from Stevenage who glassed someone in the head in the town on New Year’s Day has been given a suspended jail sentence.
Kevin Dowse, of Fox Road, pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm when he appeared before Stevenage magistrates on Wednesday.
Chairman of the bench Richard Parperis imposed a 26-week prison sentence, suspended for 24 months, and also ordered Dowse to do 150 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months.
Dowse must also pay £50 in compensation, £85 in costs and a £115 victim surcharge.
