A Stevenage man suspected of murder in Holland was handed over to Dutch police last night (Wednesday).

Andy Van Den Hurk of Hepworth Court, Chells Way was arrested on arrival in the Netherlands for “possible involvement in murder” and is being held at a station in Eindhoven where he will be questioned today.

The 36-year-old handed himself in to Stevenage police station on March 8 in connection with the death of his step-sister Nicole Van Den Hurk in 1995.

The 15-year-old’s body was found in woodlands 20k from Eindhoven six weeks after she went missing while cycling to a part-time job at a supermarket.
