A man accused of racially abusing a Polish family in a Stevenage branch of Aldi last month has pleaded not guilty.
Darren Balaam, 46, of York Road, denied a charge of racially aggravated harassment when he appeared before Stevenage magistrates chaired by Richard Parperis on Wednesday.
He has been released on bail, and is set to stand trial at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court on May 5.
