Stevenage man charged with 14 car crime offences

A man has been arrested and charged with 14 offences relating to the recent spate of car crime.

Peter Gumble, from Higgins Walk in Stevenage, was arrested on February 20. He has subsequently been charged with 11 offences of theft from a motor vehicle and three offences of attempted theft from a motor vehicle. He was also charged with three counts of burglary.

The 43-year-old has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on Friday for a preliminary hearing.
