A MAN has been charged with criminal damage, assault and affray after being arrested by armed police on Saturday.
Aaron Stockley, 24, of no fixed abode, was arrested by police after they were to called an address in Darwin Road, Stevenage, at 7.42am, amid concerns over the welfare of two young children who were in the house.
The road was closed off for approximately six hours while officers were at the scene.
Ambulance crews also attended, although no one was injured.
Stockley has been given police bail and is due to return to Stevenage Police Station on June 20.
