A TEENAGER was sentenced to 16 months in a young offenders' institute today (Wednesday) at St Albans Crown Court after being found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm.

Charles Lovelock, 19, of Trigg Terrace, Stevenage was arrested following an attack on a photographer that took place during a wedding reception at Sopwell House Hotel, St Albans on September 19 last year.

Detective Inspector Peter Fulham, who led the investigation, he said: "The sentence in this case reflects the serious nature of the crime balanced against Lovelock's age and previous good character. Now that the sentencing has passed the victim in this case is determined to get on with his life.
