A 34-year-old man from Stevenage has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault following an incident in the St Nicholas area of the town at the weekend.
Police released an appeal for information on Wednesday after an alleged assault which is said to have taken place between 8am and 11am on Saturday.
A man was brought in for questioning and has since been arrested, and has now been released on bail until January 16.
